"I feel aligned to the philosophy because "You Can't Teach Heart" reminds me to always push myself and remember why I even do the sport. "

Sachi Khonghun, or simply Sach, has been training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for seven years. Under the mentorship of Carlo Pena, Dani Palanca, John Queroljico, Meggie Ochoa, Stephen Kamphuis, Chris Gallego, Joshua Abella, Tony Yoo, and  Alexander Falcon. Training with Atos Philippines and the Philippine Team, Sachi has become a dedicated practitioner of the sport. She balances her training with her studies by practicing at least three times a week, ensuring she stays both mentally and physically prepared for competitions.

Sachi has built an impressive competition resume, consistently proving her skill and determination on the mats. She secured gold at the Philippine International Open 2020, claiming double gold in her division. She continued her dominance by winning gold at the Marianas Pro Manila in both 2023 and 2024, showcasing her adaptability against top-tier competitors. Her dedication also led her to gold at the Pan Asian Jiu-Jitsu International Open 2024 and gold at the Asia Pacific International Open 2024, solidifying her presence in high-level tournaments. She also earned a bronze at the National Team Trials 2025, proving her ability to compete against elite athletes on the national stage. Most notably, she won gold at the Thailand Grand Prix, further cementing her reputation as a top competitor.

Sachi first learned about Hyperfly through her coach, Meggie Ochoa, and has been a fan ever since. She loves the lightweight, comfortable design of Hyperfly gear, which fits her perfectly and enhances her performance on the mats. A fun fact about Sachi is that, despite her courage in competition, she is scared of almost every single animal.

Her advice to beginners starting their martial arts journey is simple:
"...everyone has their own journey and that we should never compare our progress to others because we are all living our own lives, experiencing different situations, and that is what makes our individual journeys so special. "
