Gi Care Tips

How to Keep Your Gi Rolling Strong (Without Getting DQ’d by the Washing Machine):

Cold wash, like an ice bath. Your gi’s been through wars. Don’t punish it with hot water. Cold wash only, professor’s orders.

No hot rolls in the dryer. Shrinking your gi is like pulling guard in an ADCC finals—not the move. Hang dry or tumble low if you must.

Keep it PED-free. No bleach, softeners, or chemical enhancements. We’re training clean here. Your gi doesn’t need extra “supplements.”

Roll solo in the wash. Don’t let your gi catch dye from a white belt’s tie-dye hoodie. Wash it separately like a lone black belt at a white belt open mat.

Pre-roll rinse. Wash before first use. You wouldn’t show up unshowered to class (right?), so don’t let your gi either.
